ABOUT

1st-2nd Grade:
This hour is designed for girls in 1st and 2nd grade who have had at least one scoop lacrosse session and feel ready to advance to using a regulation girls stick and wearing goggles and a mouth guard. Fundamentals of the game (scooping, cradling, throwing, catching, shooting and defense) will be stressed as the girls become accustomed to their new equipment. The girls will play fun drills and games in a small group setting where they get many touches on the ball.

3rd-4th Grade:
Third and fourth grade girls will build on their skills during this action-packed hour! The focus will be on fundamentals (scooping, cradling, throwing, catching, shooting and defense), while some more advanced concepts such as team defense will be introduced. Girls will be divided into small groups based on skill level and will have many touches on the ball in fun games, drills and scrimmages.

5th-8th Grade:
Fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth grade girls will strengthen their skills in the fundamentals of the game, including ground balls, passing, catching, shooting and defense. Advanced concepts in offense and defense will be covered. Girls will be divided into small groups based on skill level and will have many touches on the ball in fun games, drills and scrimmages.
